As for me, I will call upon God, And the LORD shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice..”   Psalm55:16-17

We need to understand that life and history is replete will all kinds of transitions, the word transition is a very strong word that tunes the energy of the spirit.

Transitions occur from life to death, from being a child to becoming an adult, Nations experience transitions from being poor and impoverished to becoming wealthy and affluent. Transitions can come with upheavals, violence, but it can also be smooth, velvet and violet.

David the King, made a transition from being weak and feeble in the place of prayer , to a position where he became a man who prayed three times daily. When you read Zechariah 12 vs 7-10, you will understand that once the Lord poured the Spirit of Grace and supplication on the house of David, he never looked back in praying assiduously.

David's transition and consistency in prayer is summed up in Psalm 55 vs 16-17. He became a nocturnal and diurnal being in the positive sense, he prayed morning , noon, night and day.

So How do I make this transition in Prayer?

A man of God once said the only way to learn how to pray is to pray. We will take it further.

Firstly, see prayer as your responsibility, nobody is born a prayer " warrior" really don't like to use that word, I prefer prayer champion.  You can't belittle yourself, ask the Lord to pour on you the spirit of Grace and supplication. Pray  for governmental capacity in the place of prayer, Daniel had that, with his demanding schedule and assignment in Babylon, he prayed three times a day. You sure can too.

Secondly, instigate a passion and desire for prayer, read the story of a man called Jeremiah Lanphier, a lay businessman in the city of New York, who instigated prayer in the 18th century, ask yourself, how many times have you bring prompted to pray and you didn't.

Furthermore, keep praying intermittently until it becomes a new normal, I call it spontaneous nuggets of prayer, try it every 10mins. It works, it has a snowballing effect.

Finally, look for people who are passionate about prayer, prayer must be restored back to our churches, homes, schools, but we must not neglect work, diligence, creativity, innovation and inventions. will do a series soon on these.

As I concluded, you don't drive a car without making transitions with the gear system, if you make wrong transitions with the gear, you experience hiccups. There are hiccups to confront as we determine to make the transition from weakness to strength in the place of prayer. Go for it now and those hiccups will be dealt with.
